Way too fast paced

So, I can definitely see the appeal of this game. But, certain aspects of it make it very unenjoyable for me. Mainly, its because the gameplay is way too fast. The fact that you cant take as much time as youd like matching the tiles really bugs me, and knowing that taking a long time actually causes me to die sort of stresses me out while playing, causing me to not even be able to think clearly about matching. So yeah. Its a personal problem for me, obviously a lot of people love this game. So if you are really into fast paced candy crush-type games like this, get it. Also, I dont think a game like this should be $3. $1 at the MOST.

Exceptional

I love match 3 games and have played all the popular ones as well as a few indie releases. Yet this game could be my favorite of the whole genre. Satisfying upgrade system with no IAPS, spectacular soundtrack, great graphical style, fast-paced gameplay with a nice balance of luck and, *yes*, skill. $3 is a steal. Get it!

Not worth 3 dollars

This game should be free. I spent 3 dollars on it and deleted it within a few weeks. Also there should be a Santa boss.

Incredibly repetitive, inane, and boring

Played for 20min and couldnt take it anymore. There is an interesting concept here, but not realized.

Stupid

The whole matching tiles thing to fight is stupid and really ruins the game for me. Its not fun, its slow and annoying and fast and annoying. A chest can have an enemy behind it but you have to unlock the chest before you can attack the enemy but the enemy can attack you. It takes too long to find matches so you end up wasting time. Its just an overall bad game. For a dollar, sure, I guess. Anymore and Id say its a rip off.

Not that great

The fast pace is not appealing. Im a fan of puzzles and games that make you think, but this one just stresses me out.

Great game!

I really like this game! It was a bit too fast for me at the beginning, but now that Ive had some time to get used to the controls and upgrade my stuff Im finding it to be quite manageable. Its fun and addicting, but you can play it in short bursts too if you want. I really like how no matter how short a run is, it always says "You Win!" Its just a little thing that makes me feel good about the progress Ive made, even if I didnt fulfill a challenge during that run.

Very addicting

I really thought this game wasnt going to be good But it is actually really fun

Good idea. Extremely difficult

At the early levels this game shouldnt be this difficult. Its game for fun or should be. The games difficulty jumps to extremes within the third quest. I appreciate the idea. But there should be ways to skip a quest or tone down early quest. Glad I purchased it on sale for a dollar.

Not fun

Not even worth 99 cents

Boo game

Too much relies on random chance, and matching tiles is finicky. Frustrating.

Like most sequels, its not as good!

I loved 10000000. I matched tiles from beginning to end twice through. YMBAB, like its older sibling, is a tile-matching battling endless runner, but with a new setting (a boat instead of a dungeon). Its still fun to play and worth the price. However, some new gameplay mechanics introduce further elements of randomness, shortening runs and making the game more "grindy" than its predecessor. I guess that means I get to play it more, but its a lot less rewarding and satisfying.

Fun game

Very fun

Hard, but not too hard to enjoy.

A lot of negative reviews are saying that its too hard. Ill admit, it can be frustrating at times, but Ive been able to progress through the game at a pretty steady pace. It is challenging, but not overly difficult. About the game itself, this is one of the only "match 3" types of games I like at all. Great game.

Basically a game of luck

There is no real strategy or skill involved – you just keep banging away until things line up for you. Id say the maximum age that would still enjoy this game is about 10. I only paid $.99 for it, but I still feel cheated.

So Frustrating That It Is Fun

There is a constant cycle of playing and thinking you are doing good, only to remember the tiles and enemies appear in random order and you cant get the right combination in time and game over. You then immediately start playing again because you know this time you can beat it because you think you know what tiles you will get and the bad guys you will face.

You Must Build A Boat

DIFFERENT! This game is fast paced and doesnt hold your hand. You will die again and again -- and that is a good thing! It throws the normal match three mechanics on its a**. Dungeon crawler + match three = AWESOME! EightyEight is great.

Im so stupid

It seemed pretty boring at first because it looked like candy crush and games like that so I downloaded it and I didnt realize it was freaking 6$ and I thought I better be worth it and I took one look at it and I was pissed

Only good matching game ever

I was skeptical at first about this game, as I always am with mobile games, but it turned out to be good. I spent lots of time "winning"(or losing, rather), but it was always exciting to get a new crew member or piece of gear. 10/10 would build a boat again.

STAY AWAY

I thought the matching was just one element.. ITS THE ENTIRE GAME! And am I supposed to be matching the tiles the entire time or do I waste them if I match them while Im running between chest and enemies.. I had no idea what 2 of the currencies were until I had completed several of the quest. You dont ever build a boat, you dont get to choose any placement of the characters in the boat, you match tiles until you get knocked off the screen (which happens often) and then your boat gets bigger with some new goofy character and thats the entire game as far as I can tell.. Dont be fooled by the best of 2015 bull.
